DESCRIPTION

Whether it’s at the beach or in the rainforest, no visit to Costa Rica is complete without a monkey sighting. While their widespread distribution is great for visitors, close contact with humans can cause issues for the animals themselves.

Located in Puerto Viejo, Jaguar Rescue Center (JRC) has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing monkeys and other native Costa Rican animals since 2008. With this edition of our Hábitat line, Britt is supporting JRC’s monkey program by donating wildlife crossings that prevent accidental deaths, as well as the renovation of a temporary rehabilitation pen.

Like JRC, this coffee comes from the province of Limón on the Caribbean coast. The dark roast highlights its rich, chocolaty flavor, balanced by fine acidity and a robust body.
